A Journey for the Senses

It is the perfect companion, a contemplative indulgence of Peruvian lore that elevates any establishment. The lounges understand this, instinctively.

The experience begins with a rare, Silky Body that anchors the palate with the deep sweetness of Molasses and warm Almond. A brilliant Vinous Acidity cuts through, revealing concentrated dark fruit notes of Black Raisins and Figs. These complex flavors are embraced by the warmth of Malt and Maple, leading to a clean, distinguished finish that invites the connoisseur's next sip.

Cultivators:

Meet the people behind Sapa Sunlight:

Milagros Ortiz, Juan Jose Espiritú, Daniel Lale, Marcial Ortiz, and Raul Miguel.

They lovingly tend their coffee farms nestled in the beautiful hills of Miraflores, Alto Gramazú, and Gramazú, reaching high into the mountains, between 1600 and 1950 meters. Each precious coffee cherry is carefully hand-picked on farms that border the breathtaking UNESCO Amazonian Biosphere Reserves, including the Oxapampa-Asháninka-Yánesha Biosphere Reserve (BIOAY).

Why Lounges Love It:

This coffee is an offering from Hana Pacha (the Upper World of the Incas), delivering true Peruvian enchantment. Your guests feel the warmth of "Inti," the Incan Sun God, in every sip, a feeling akin to the Condor's ascent, carrying the first golden key of dawn from Inti's realm—a symbol of freedom and visionary awakening.

The bright, radiant flavor is a blessing from the Apus (Mountain Spirits), stirring the Kawsay, that vital life force. The sophisticated, wine-like qualities ensure a refined experience, prompting deep contemplation and enhancing the senses, offering a fleeting glimpse of the Chakana, the Incan cross bridging the earthly and the cosmic.

Sapa Sunlight ensures an elevated experience that creates connections and transforms ordinary days into unforgettable journeys, serving as a wonderfully sophisticated complement to any moment of mindful enjoyment.

🔥 Roasting

Sapa Sunlight's honey process benefits from a City+ roast. This enhances the fruit notes and balances the acidity.

💧 Brewing

Brewing as a cold brew or using a full immersion method will emphasize its silky body and evolving flavors.

Espresso Suitability: Delve into the mysteries of time with this complex coffee. It has a light honey scent and a rich body. Because it is honey-processed, it will deliver the extra punch needed for a beautiful espresso.

These are just suggestions, and your personal preferences may vary. Experiment with different roast levels and brewing methods to discover what you enjoy most.

  • Geography

Pasco, Peru, located in the central highlands, presents a compelling region for coffee cultivation. Characterized by a rugged Andean topography, Pasco experiences significant elevation variation, a key factor in coffee quality. The region's eastern slopes, descending towards the Amazon basin, feature a humid, subtropical climate with consistent rainfall, ideal for Arabica cultivation. These areas, particularly in the Oxapampa province, exhibit a complex mosaic of microclimates due to varying elevations and aspects, creating diverse terroirs. The interplay of elevation, rainfall, and temperature gradients contributes to the distinct flavor profiles of Oxapampa's coffee. Situated on steep slopes, the region's coffee farms demand specialized cultivation techniques to manage the soil erosion issues. The region's accessibility, infrastructure, and the socioeconomic dynamics of coffee-producing communities are also critical factors influencing the sustainability and expansion of coffee cultivation in Pasco.
  • Relax

In the realm of sophisticated lounges, where patrons seek premium, artisanal experiences, Sunrise Trading's Peruvian coffee stands unparalleled. Ethically sourced, ecological shade-grown beans offer a distinct, complex flavor profile that will elevate any establishment.
