Day 1: Arrival in Lima – Friday

  • Afternoon/Evening: Arrive at Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) in Lima, where our team will warmly greet you.

  • Transfer: Enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel in a safe and vibrant district of Lima.

  • Evening: Settle in and relax after your journey. We'll have a casual welcome dinner at a local restaurant, where we'll introduce you to the flavors of Peruvian cuisine.


Day 2: Exploring Lima's Charms – Saturday

  • Morning: After breakfast, we'll embark on a guided tour of Lima. Explore the historical center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, featuring stunning colonial architecture, including the Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, and Cathedral.

  • Lunch: Savor a delicious lunch at a renowned restaurant, perhaps sampling some of Lima's famous ceviche.

  • Afternoon: Explore the bohemian Barranco district, known for its colorful streets, art galleries, and Puente de los Suspiros (Bridge of Sighs). You'll have some free time to browse local artisan shops.

  • Evening: Enjoy a farewell dinner in Lima.

  • Late Evening: Transfer to the MovilBus terminal for an overnight journey to Oxapampa. Settle into your comfortable 180-degree sleeper seat for a restful ride.


Day 3: Arrival in Oxapampa & Coffee Country Immersion – Sunday

  • Morning: Arrive in Oxapampa around 8:00 AM, feeling refreshed after your overnight bus journey.

  • Transfer: We'll transfer you to your charming accommodation, likely a local hacienda or lodge, where you can freshen up and enjoy breakfast.

  • Late Morning: Begin your coffee journey with an introduction to the Oxapampa region's unique coffee culture. We'll visit a Sunrise Trading coffee farm, where we'll meet the farmers and learn about the cultivation process, from planting to harvesting.

  • Afternoon: Enjoy a traditional Peruvian lunch.

  • Late Afternoon: Continue your farm visit to gain hands-on experience with sorting and processing coffee cherries. We'll discuss sustainable farming practices and the challenges and rewards of coffee production in the Andes.

  • Evening: Enjoy a relaxed dinner featuring local specialties.


Day 4: Coffee Processing & Community Connection – Monday

  • Morning: Dive deeper into the world of coffee processing. We'll visit both a wet mill and a dry mill, gaining an understanding of the steps involved in transforming coffee cherries into green beans ready for export. This is your chance to see the work that goes into preparing the coffee you roast.

  • Late Morning/Afternoon: Medical Outpost Visit: We'll embark on a trip into the jungle to visit a local medical outpost. This is a chance to give back to the community that helps produce your coffee. We'll restock essential medical supplies and interact with the local healthcare workers. This experience offers a unique insight into the daily lives and needs of the people in the region.

  • Evening: Return to your accommodation for dinner and some relaxation time.


Day 5: Exploring Oxapampa's Natural Beauty & Culture – Tuesday

  • Morning: Discover the natural wonders around Oxapampa. We'll visit the stunning Tunqui Cueva, a fascinating limestone cave, and the beautiful Cataratas del Rio Tigre (Tiger River Waterfalls), where you can enjoy the lush surroundings.

  • Lunch: Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature or at a local eatery.

  • Afternoon: Explore the charming town of Oxapampa itself, with its unique Austro-German architecture and vibrant market. You'll have time to purchase local crafts and souvenirs.

  • Evening: Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, perhaps trying some of the region's famous trout.


Day 6: Indigenous Culture & Coffee Cupping – Wednesday

  • Morning: Immerse yourself in the rich indigenous culture of the Yanesha people. We'll visit a native village, learning about their traditions, customs, and their connection to the land.

  • Afternoon: Return to a local coffee farm or our facilities for an interactive coffee cupping session. This is where your expertise comes in! You'll learn to identify the unique flavor profiles of Oxapampa coffees, understanding the nuances that make each bean special.

  • Late Afternoon:.Cultural Event: Join us for a truly special evening of cultural entertainment. We'll share stories, music, and dance around a fire, experiencing the heart of Yanesha hospitality. This will be a memorable and authentic cultural exchange.

  • Evening: Enjoy a celebratory dinner, perhaps a traditional Pachamanca, a meal cooked in the earth.


Day 7: Farewell Oxapampa & Return to Lima – Thursday

  • Morning: Enjoy a final breakfast in Oxapampa. Depending on flight schedules, we may have time for a brief visit to a local coffee roastery or a last-minute souvenir hunt.

  • Late Morning: Enjoy some free time to relax or do some last-minute souvenir shopping.

  • Afternoon: Enjoy a farewell lunch in Oxapampa, reflecting on your incredible journey.

  • Evening: Transfer to the MovilBus terminal for your comfortable overnight journey back to Lima.


Day 8: Departure from Lima – Friday

  • Morning: Arrive back in Lima.

  • Transfer: Enjoy a comfortable transfer to Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) for your onward flight.
