SHIPPING & LOGISTICS POLICY

Sunrise Trading LLC maintains direct oversight of the supply chain from our base in Oxapampa, Pasco, Peru, to the final destination in the United States. Our logistics framework ensures the physical and technical integrity of every specialty lot.

01. ORDER PROCESSING & VERIFICATION

  • Operational Timeline: We process orders within 2 to 3 business days of receipt.

  • Verification: Every order requires a verified delivery address. We utilize Salesforce CRM to document the transaction and initiate the physical preparation of the inventory.

  • Inventory Status: All specialty coffee lots are stored in climate-controlled environments. We verify the moisture content and physical weight of the 25kg sacks before they leave our custody.

02. MARITIME TRANSIT & LEAD TIMES

We utilize the Port of Callao, Peru, as our primary export gateway. All international shipments transit through the Panama Canal to designated U.S. ports.

03. PACKAGING & ATMOSPHERIC STANDARDS

To preserve Grade 1 specialty quality, Sunrise Trading LLC adheres to the following packaging standards:

  • Primary Barrier: Coffee is sealed in hermetic liners within every 25kg burlap sack.

  • Environmental Protection: This physical barrier maintains atmospheric stability and prevents moisture absorption during ocean transit.

  • Labeling: Every sack carries the official Sunrise Trading mark and technical lot identifiers for traceability.

04. CUSTOMS, DUTIES, & COMPLIANCE

  • Import Documentation: Sunrise Trading LLC manages all export documentation from Peru. We provide the Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, and Phytosanitary Certificate for every shipment.

  • Institutional Status: Our D-U-N-S #08-713-7439 facilitates standardized clearance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the FDA, and the USDA.

  • Domestic Duties: The buyer is responsible for specific domestic delivery fees unless the contract specifies DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms.

05. RISK OF LOSS & INSURANCE

  • Transfer of Risk: Risk of loss transfers from Sunrise Trading LLC to the buyer according to the specific Incoterms (e.g., FOB, CIF, or DDP) established in the purchasing contract.

  • Insurance: We maintain cargo insurance for all shipments under our direct control until the legal point of transfer.

  • Inspection: The buyer must inspect the physical integrity of the shipment upon arrival. Document any visible damage on the Proof of Delivery (POD) to initiate a formal claim.

06. TRACKING & COMMUNICATION

We provide real-time tracking data via our Shopify portal. Partners receive:

  1. Booking Confirmation upon vessel assignment.

  2. On-Board Notification once the container clears the Port of Callao.

  3. Arrival Notice once the vessel reaches the U.S. port of entry.
